Tooth for the victory
News added: 06/01/2010 02:37- Top teams of the Amateur Football League standings GZ and Maccabi played on Monday 31 of May in Majaka stadium.
Quite a tense match where GZ played from defense punishing sometimes fleeing ahead Maccabi players with sharp counterattackes and had more potentioal moments to open a score.
First Denis Sychev hit the horizontal bar and when Maccabi goalkeeper moved far from the gate the GZ shot passed few inches away from post.
GZ had an advantage, but failed to score. Maccabi almost did not have good goal moments. Therefore both teams shared a draw 0:0.
Makkabi gets one point and still leads the championship table.
The most valuable team players were noted from GZ - Denis Sychev and Ilja Shterenberg from Maccabi.Spectacular match between Zapadnaya Granica and FC Liikuri.
Zapadnaya Granica took an early lead when Pavel Daniel (FC Liikuri goalkeeper) passing the ball right to opponents forward. A minute later FC Liikuri with help of Magnar Mikkelar equalizes and despite of many opportunities both teams play with a score 1:1 almost until the end of first half. Only in the end Kirill Kalinin strikes and lead ahead Zapadnaya Granica.
In the second half teams had sharp attackes in both directions. Zapadnaya Granica played more intence in the central pitch zone and only once let a dangiourus shot into the gate, saved by Igor Kalachev.
In the midle of second Aleksandr Kolodinski and Jevgeni Solosjankin half conducted one more succesful attack increasing the result.
In the end of the match the clash between the author of the last goal and goalkeeper of FC Liikuri who accidently heat by head into the jaw of the player. It turned out that with a price of broken tooth Zapadnaya Granica won the match 3:1.
The most valuable team players were noted from Zapadnaya Granica - Aleksandr Kolodinski and Magnar Mikkelar from FC Liikuri.
