Teams lot tossed!
News added: 02/05/2010 09:16- Team meeting that was held in SEM office yesterday tossed the teams into groups. This time there is no “death group”, however participants of Group B would not say so.
All together there are 15 teams assigned for the first Estonian Corporate Championship of Futsal 2010. Teams were divided into 3 groups with 5 teams in each. In order to avoid “groups of death”, SEM has split three strongest teams, that are on top of each group.
Group A is headed by Netlead with following teams of SKYPE to Goal, SAS, Hire Right and Runway. Looks like the groups is very unpredictable as the level of the teams is almost identical.
But in Group B with a favorite – SKYPE Bugs, there are ambitious newcomers – the team of Police and Marine Care. Also Swedbank and Nordea are intended to fight for play offs tickets.
Group C looks quite confusing with a Champion of Christmas Corporate Cup – Ericsson and experienced Swissotel. It also includes 3 new “dark horses” – SEB, MAXIMA and AF Automaatika.
A pleasant surprise was waiting for Swissotel, which got the first price of the Estonian Corporate Championship of Futsal 2010 is FREE PARTICIPATION!
According to the format of the Championship two best teams in the groups are going directly to play off stage. The teams that will get a third position in their groups will have nock off games and only two of them will go qualify for Quarter Final.
Group stage matches are scheduled form 6th February – 27th February in Loo and Sparta Sport Centers. Play off stage starts 3rd March.
