Hard battle

The second week of games started with a match between Kalev Vesi and FC Liikuri, which is a black horse in our amateur league.  Their players are not known from previous tournaments.

Today’s game demonstrated that FC Liikuri players can stand up well against favorites of amateur league.  Pavel Hodossov was most noticeable.

The match proved to be very tense and could ended in a draw, if FC Liikuri would not conceded quite a ridiculous goal in the end of first half.

Players of Kalev Vesi failed few opportunities to score and received quite dangerous shots in their goal.

The man of the match became midfielder of Kalev Vesi – Timur Haliulin who scored the only goal in the match.

The next scheduled game of Kalev Vesi is against AME on 10th of May in Marjamäe stadium. Match starts at 21:15.

Tomorrow we will witness FC Likuri match again, this time against AME. The match is held in Punane stadium at 20:45.

In the second match of the day Maccabi was playing against Zapadnaya Granica. Already on 6th min, Kirill Kalinin opened score, assisted by Stanislav Rõba. Maccabi on the other hand continued their dangerous attacks and got a chance to equalize. The goal was scored by Anatoli Orlov who received a pass near the penalty area from Stas Dolmatov.

Zapadnaya Granica had opportunities to go forward with a score when Ilja Jevglevski tricked the Maccabi goalie Dmitri Grechani and failed to score in almost empty goal.
In the second half Maccabi has increased a pressure on opponent’s defense and goalkeeper and managed to score two more goals, winning the match 3:1.

Roman Laidinen was named the man of the match.
